How to Set Up Business Email on iPhone and Android

Your team lives on their phones, so business email needs to work flawlessly on mobile. Adding your DigiCloudMail account to an iPhone or Android device takes just a couple of minutes. Here is how, plus a few tips to get it right.

What you'll need

Before you start, have these ready (your provider or admin can supply them):

Your full email address and password
Incoming server details (IMAP)
Outgoing server details (SMTP)
The correct ports and the note that encryption (SSL/TLS) should be on

Two ways to connect

IMAP keeps your mail on the server and syncs it across devices - the standard, reliable choice. See IMAP vs POP.

Either way, your mail stays consistent between your phone, laptop and webmail.

On iPhone (iOS)

Open Settings > Mail > Accounts > Add Account.
Choose Other > Add Mail Account.
Enter your name, email address and password.
Select IMAP, then enter the incoming (IMAP) and outgoing (SMTP) server details.
Make sure Use SSL is on for both, save, and you are done.

On Android

Open the Gmail app (or your device's Mail app) and tap Add another account.
Choose Other / Personal (IMAP).
Enter your email address and password.
Enter the incoming (IMAP) and outgoing (SMTP) server settings, with security set to SSL/TLS.
Finish setup and your mail syncs.

Always enable SSL/TLS so your mail is encrypted on mobile networks.
